Netgear has released a very interesting media player, that can play HD 1080p video and has a lot of other interesting features. Check out everything it brings new to the market in the press release below.
EVA9100 is a flexible digital media player that allows users to enjoy and seamlessly stream their personal digital media collection.
This model allows consumers to seamlessly stream media by pre-buffering and play HD quality video at up to 1080p.
Consumers can also play MP3, multi-channel WAV and FLAC songs, and view high-resolution digital photos from PCs, Macs or network attached storage (NAS) devices.
Consumers can also listen to access Internet radio (over 250 radio sites are supported) stations, Flickr, RSS feeds and videos from popular websites.
This model can also search and index files directly on the device, allowing users to navigate content across multiple networked PCs and devices at the same time. It can automatically find all digital media files on the home network, and organise them into an easily accessible library.
The EVA9100 can easily connects to the Internet or home network via an integrated network port. Users can also use an optional wireless USB adaptor (model EVAW111) to connect the EVA9100 to the Internet or home network via WiFi.
The EVA9100 comes with the Push ‘N’ Connect feature, which makes connecting to a secure network simple and fast using WiFi Protected Setup (WPS).
This model offers environmentally friendly features such as an energy-efficient power supply and an automatic power-saving mode, which consume as little as 0.01-watts.
With two or more EVA9100 units, consumers can use the Follow Me feature to pause a song or video in one room and resume it in another.
The EVA9100 retails for US$229 (RM780) and is expected to be available in March or April.
